Can you disable the camera?

Yes. 

For Live Streaming

We use P2P technology for video live streaming so if you don't watch the live stream from your app, nothing will go out and the camera is inactive.

For Cloud Storage

The default setting for video cloud recording is off. So if you don't turn it on, nothing is going to our cloud.
