I'm looking at getting a Yardian, but would like to know if access is cloud based and requires internet access to Yardian's cloud servers for the unit and app to function ?

Ideally I would like it to be controlled over my home network via a local api if there's no internet available. (similar to Rainmachine, which alas no longer seem available to buy)

  Hi,

  Thank you for your inquiry.
  We are working on making the Yardian independent of the Internet access.
  The Internet is required at this moment until the planned release of the new feature in 2024.

  Hi,

  We should be able to release a different firmware version for local control. Since it’s a local control version, all cloud-related features will not be available.
