My Smart Program has gone Mental!

Somehow, after setting up a Smart Program and then tweaking some of the data for the Zones (square footage, Application Rate, etc) I now have multiple consecutive Start and Stop cycles: eg Zone 5 runs 10 minutes then Zone 6 for 10 minutes then immediately Zone 5 for 10 minutes and then Zone 6 and then Zone 5 and then Zone 6 and so on. I cannot run the Smart Program because I fear this could damage my valves and pipes, and nothing I do seems to erase the results, even resetting to all defaults or removing all zones

  Hi Michael,

  The Smart Program takes the soil intake rate into account so that it will separate long watering tasks into smaller watering tasks. This will insure better water utilization.

  Seems weird, but I had to lower the value to 0.2 from the default 0.4 in order to get the program to stabilize. This in my mind is telling the system that the soil has a lower absorption rate (0.2 inch/hour) than what the sprinklers are applying (0.28 inch/hour).

  Currently everything seems ok. I think the Soil Intake Rate needs better explanation
