PoE support in future hardware
While some like the use of WiFi for some devices I prefer wired. In future models it would be nice to see PoE support added. It would give people a choice of powering via PoE or using the power supply brick. 802.3bt would provide ample power to run the controller and the valves.
On my previous controller I used a PoE splitter; so data used the Ethernet port and then the splitter provided the 24VAC the controller required. With the Yardian requiring 36VDC, I do not know of a splitter that would provide that since the PoE line violate is 44 to 57VDC.

I recently paid an Electrician to hardwire an outdoor Yardian at cost of about $600, in addition it took time to line up the job. If PoE had been an option, I could have self-installed this without concern of violating electrical and building code and needing the sparky to pull a permit.
POE would also permit hard-reset of the Yardian because most PoE Switches permit you to power-cycle the port. PoE has come to doorbells and in-house security cameras. There are even PoE lighting products. It has a future on your product roadmap.
