Onsite weather station & rainfall measurements

My unit is using my onsite Davis weather station as the local weather station in the controller configuration. The Davis has a rainfall sensor built in. Will the Yardian controller treat the weather station rainfall sensor in the same way it would treat a wired sensor connected to S1 or S2? Also, does it factor the rainfall amounts received from the weather station into the smart program as the amount of water added to the field and adjust the field moisture content in the same way as if the unit watered the field on its own?

    Hi,

    No. The rainfall sensor from your weather station can't be treated as connected to S1/S2 because we don't monitor real-time weather data. However, the rainfall data is used in the Smart Program as long as your weather station is available in the Yardian app.
