Pump/mechanical valve connection

Can Yardian be connected to a sprinkler system with a pump feeding a mechanical valve that changes zones as the pump stops? Basically, I do not have wires coming from the mechanical valve, just 2 wires that are the power supply of the pump. I figured I could use a power start relay and connect the Yardian to the power relay, but where do I connect the 2 cables from the power start relay on the Yardian and how do I set it up, so that it would start and stop my pump at different times in order to change from one zone to the other?

  Hi,

  You will need to use a power relay for your pump. You need to define a zone as a master valve in the Yardian app. You can connect the terminal block of the master zone to the power relay. Please note that the output voltage from the terminal block is 24VAC.

  We have customers using pumps for agriculture application. We will share more information later.

  Thanks for the response. So, one cable from the power relay goes to the terminal that would be labeled master valve on the app, and the other cable from the power relay? Do I connect it to the COM terminal or to another zone terminal?

  Yes, please connect the other wire to the COM terminal.

  One of our customers uses Yardian for his farm. He connects all terminals to relays because he uses 110V solenoids and 220V pump.
