Set up programs with no wifi or Ethernet connection
I am building a new house and setting up the new lawn from scratch.
I have a Yardian Pro that I have never programmed before and I am wanting to set up watering schedules although I will have no home wifi or Ethernet connection, it will have power to the unit.
I am wanting to set up watering 2-3 times per day until the lawn has established. We will be looking to lay the lawn a few weeks before we move in and I want to have it established for Xmas time so the family can use the lawn.
Firstly, is this possible? And, will it work if I connect it to a 4G connection to set it up and load the desired programs? Noting, it will not be connected after programming is set.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for asking this question!Current solution - using the Wi-Fi hot-spot on your cellphone:
- Use a USB drive to send SSID/Password to the Yardian.
https://support.yardian.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003466092-Wi-Fi-onboarding-using-a-USB-drive
The LED will be blinking in green trying to connect to the Wi-Fi hot-spot.
When you are near the Yardian device with your cellphone hot-spot turned on, it will get online.
- Set up "Manual Programs" while the Yardian is online.
The Yardian will execute a 7-day watering schedules from your Manual Program even when there 's no Internet connection.
In the near future, we will implement a "cloud independent" feature so that you don't need to depend on the Internet connection.
Best regards,
